What I love about hairdressing is …
The creative control you can have with it. Meeting new people every day is something I love, and the team are all super close so I always look forward to coming into work. Sometimes we even get fish and chips together at lunch (but none for my dog Enzo sadly).

My favourite hairdressing story from the salon is…
About one of my regulars, who is sadly really ill at the moment, so she is losing her hair. At a recent appointment she asked me to take her hair really short. She was so nervous and had her hat ready to put back on as she left the salon, but she loved the result. You could see her body language change and I think she felt really comfortable with her new short hair. I felt so privileged that she trusted me with this, it was really heart-warming and emotional to see.

My favourite time of year at the salon is…
Christmas. We do Secret Santa with the team every year – our Managing Director and Salon Partner Filip is the best at gifts. In 2021, just before Christmas, I managed to buy my first house, and Filip got me some wine and champagne glasses – safe to say they are very handy.

In my spare time I love…
Spending time with my dog Enzo, especially going on long walks with him, although I’m not sure who enjoys them more. I bring him into the salon every day I’m working, so many of the clients love having him on their laps whilst they get their hair done. However, he’s got a cheeky side – the other day he stole someone’s ham sandwich out of their handbag, and half the team had to run after him. I didn’t have the heart to tell him off.
