From roads to razors, Mark Sankey, a 37-year-old road lining operator, shares his story about shaving his hair off, and the valuable advice he gets from Filip and Daniel at his regular beard trimming appointments.

Braving the shave…

I have always had a good head of hair, until about two years ago. I started to lose hair around my crown, so I decided my best option would be to shave my head. I now have micropigmentation, which is a form a tattoo which are tiny dots to mimic hair.

I spend around an hour in the salon, have a good chat/catch up, a coffee and then have my head shaved and beard trimmed. It costs around £55 and its money well spent. I always walk out feeling fresh and younger, which is a bonus.

Advice from the experts…

Daniel and Filip advised me about micropigmentation – they are experts and I am so thankful I felt I could turn to them to discuss. I always have my appointments with Filip. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy spending time him, we always have a laugh and it’s a great excuse to catch up with someone who has grown to be an incredible friend. He’s so talented and such a lovely person, I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my head and beard.

Good coffee is key…

The atmosphere is always amazing, everyone is always so happy. The clients are smiling while they are being pampered, and you always hear laughter. It’s just a really good feel place to spend time. And, some may argue as the most important thing, the coffee is amazing. You just can’t beat the feeling of a fresh trim, a cuppa and an hour of laughter with a good friend.
