Stewart Dyson, 29, is one of the salon’s newest stylists, joining Daniel Granger Hairdressing in August 2022. Stewart tells us about his travels to Australia, and his highlights since joining the salon …
Hairdressing for me is all about …
Making people feel better, it’s so generic but true. I heard a great saying when I was an apprentice and totally agree with it – ‘Hair is the ballgown you never take off’.
Before I started at the salon …
I lived abroad in Australia for three years, it was a really impulsive decision and I met so many people, but I really missed my family so I came back home to spend some time with them. It was a blessing in disguise really, because after I got home, covid hit, so I was with my family during that difficult time. And fast forward a year or so, a job offer came up at Daniel Granger Hairdressing and now I am here.
Outside of hairdressing I really enjoy …
Running, but mainly just for fun. I started heavy duty training for a marathon a few years ago, but sadly I had to stop because of a foot injury I got when I was only four. I broke it, and it hasn’t recovered entirely since.
I also have a passion for interior design, it allows me to express my creativity in a different form. I am just a very creative person in general.
Since joining Daniel Granger Hairdressing, one of my highlights has been…
Attending some of the ‘Coverage and Cutting’ courses that Daniel runs. It has allowed me to fine tune my skills in cutting hair.
